With Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and fall/winter birthdays right around the corner, I thought I would share with you how I earn FREE money while shopping online. Now I’m sure some of you are already doubtful about what I am about to say or even think this may be 419 (If you are African you know what I mean), but trust me when I say this is REAL. I only promote companies and products that I personally use or have bought from. I’ve been using Rakuten for awhile now and have earned over $200 with them (pictures included below).

WHAT IS RAKUTEN?

Rakuten is an affiliate marketing business. This means that Rakuten gets paid to send you to your favorite shopping site, and then that site pays Rakuten a commission at no extra cost to you. So basically you go shopping on a website that you love, and Rakuten gives you cashback for doing it. It’s literally a win-win situation for both of you.

Rakuten currently has over 12 million U.S members who have earned over 1 billion in cashback (yes I said 1 BILLION). If you love to online shop like me, then you definitely need to be using Rakuten. I mean do you really want to miss out on earning FREE money for shopping at your favorite store? Yeah, me either chilee.

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND HOW DOES IT WORK

HOW MANY STORES ARE ON RAKUTEN? 

Rakuten currently works with over 1,000 stores. Some of these stores include Amazon, Missguided, Shein, Macy’s, Adidas, Nike, Sephora, Levis, Staples, American Eagle, Old Navy, Walgreens, and many more. Any store you can think of is probably on Rakuten.

HOW DO I BEGIN SHOPPING ON RAKUTEN?

To get started all you have to do is type in the store you want to shop at in the search box (example pictures below). Each store will have its own cashback percentage. Some stores have up to 15% in cashback especially during holidays like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. To make sure you never miss out on these deals, I recommend adding the chrome extension to your browser. It will help you save more money and help you not forget to go through the website to shop. There are many times where I have bought something from a store that Rakuten works with and forgot to go through the website. Unfortunately, if you do not go through Rakuten before starting your shopping trip, you will not get cashback on your order. Always make sure you go through the site first! If you like to shop on your mobile device then I recommend downloading the Rakuten app.

WHEN WILL I GET PAID?

Rakuten gives you 3 months to accumulate your money, which is great because it gives you enough time to shop and make more money. Once it is time for you to get paid they will email you telling you that your check is on the way. 

CAN I EARN CASHBACK IN STORES?

Yes, you can, but you will have to download the app and add your credit card so that when you make a purchase with your card, you will get cashback. To learn more information about this, click this link HERE. I personally have not tried cashback in stores yet, but I am sure it works great!
