Lately, I’ve been finding new ways to wear old clothes in my closet. We are living in times where we need to be extra vigilant especially when it comes to our money. I don’t have time or even the patience ( shipping is taking forever) to buy new clothes every month when I still have stuff with tags on it in my closet. So I decided to challenge myself to find new ways to wear old clothes. I have also been doing a lot of spring cleaning and getting rid of clothes that no longer suit my taste.

This shirt, I am wearing, is actually a dress I got years ago from Forever 21. When I got it, it was on sale and the last one in the store. Unfortunately, it was a size 2XL 🙁 (my Original dress size is medium or large depending on the brand). I loved this dress so much though and could not walk away from it because, for one, it came with a belt meaning I could sinch the heck out my waist ( I’m curvy so I like my waist to my snatched chileee). Secondly, the dress was half-priced. I don’t know about you, but I’m not walking away from anything that’s cute and HALF PRICED… That’s just too muchhhhhh (In my African Accent)! Lastly, even though the dress was two times my size, I thought that the bigger dress size meant that it would be a little longer and be able to accommodate my hips.

Anyways, as I said earlier, I’m trying to do this thing where I find new ways to wear clothes I have already have in my closet. I decided to pair this oversized Forever 21 dress with these tan pants from Missguided. My shoes are sandal heels from Steve Madden, and my bag is my favorite purse from Shein. I plan to style this shirt dress as an actual dress on the blog one day, but until then, I hope you enjoy this fit.
