AN AFFORDABLE OUTFIT FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Since we are all in the holiday spirit, I thought I would share an affordable outfit for the holiday season. I call this the “Give dem babygurl give dem” look because you will have every head turning wearing this fit.

BACKGROUND INFO BEHIND THE OUTFIT

Now before we get into the details of this look, I want to give you the background story behind this outfit. If you didn’t know, my birthday was on November 25th. For my birthday, my older sister planned a surprise photoshoot for me, which didn’t end up being a surprise (I’ll talk more about this in a future post). I planned to wear this outfit along with the one I wore in my shoot, but unfortunately it rained and I didn’t feel like changing my clothes. I also planned on wearing this outfit to the “sisters date night” I planned, but I ended up canceling that too because Thanksgiving was the next day, and I didn’t want to eat unhealthy 2 days in a row.

Since I already had my makeup done, I decided to have an impromptu at home photoshoot, which turned out great as you can see.

OUTFIT DETAILS

Now let’s get into the details of this outfit…The blazer I am wearing is actually a 2-piece set from SHEIN (see pictures below; cost: around $40). I bought this set 2 years ago, but never wore it because I couldn’t find the perfect place to wear it (does anyone else do that with their clothes?). Also, I’ve gained some weight during this quarantine season, so the skirt does not even fit anymore (sad face), but no worries, I am on a strict diet and will be back in this skirt in no time.

I decided to pair this blazer with long tan trousers (currently sold out; cost: $20 on sale) from Missguided. Missguided is one of my favorite places to buy trousers because they have a tall section. I hate for my trousers to be “in the water” so these are literally perfect. To top off this look, I added this brown belt, a layered gold necklace, and a brown purse all from SHEIN.

BTW, if you are interested in learning more about how I shop for accessories on SHEIN, check-out my blog post “Where To Buy Trendy Accessories.” You can also check-out my YouTube video about affordable jewelry HERE. Anyways, because I purchased this set 2 years ago, it is no longer available. However, I did link some similar items below, so check those out if interested.

Furthermore, the point of me doing this post was to give you an outfit inspiration for the holidays. You can re-create this same look with a blazer you already have in your wardrobe. All the items I am wearing are items I had in my closet for 2 plus years (#MaximizeYourWardrobe). I also wanted to show you that you can still be cute, chic, stylish and MODEST for this holiday season.

Let me know what you think about this fit, and if you do decide to re-create this look, do not forget to tag me on Instagram and hashtag #ChekwaFits so I can see your style sis. I hope you have a blessed day!
