TOP 5 WEARABLE FALL 2021 FASHION TRENDS

If you didn’t know, fall is my all-time FAVORITE season. Why? Well, for one, I was born in the fall, and for two, I LOVE fall fashion. I know we are not quite into the cooler season yet, but I can’t help but notice all the amazing fall trends hitting the runway. So today, I am sharing the Top 5 Wearable Fall 2021 Fashion Trends that I can not wait to wear.

1. MATCHING SETS

I love matching sets because they take away the guessing work while getting dressed. I also love that you can wear sets with other outfits, which means you get the most bang for your buck. I have also been loving knit matching sets. These sets are great because you can lounge around in them at home or wear them out for a casual yet comfy date night. The outfit I am wearing above is a plisse set from Missguided. I also like this similar one from Boohoo. My sunglasses are from Ross (you can get a similar one from Forever 21), and my bag is a classic Micheal Kors purse I was gifted years ago.

2. SWEATER VESTS

I wasn’t a big fan of this trend last year, but I am all for it this year. I love wearing sweater vests in the fall because you can wear them alone and still be cozy. Then, when winter rolls around you can easily layer them with a blouse, dress, or jacket. I also love that this trend has a mixture of preppy and chic. There are so many ways you can style it and I absolutely love that (yall know I am all about versatility). Also, I want to say that just because a trend is popular, does not mean you should automatically jump on the bandwagon. Give yourself time to see if you like something. Don’t just hop on a trend because it’s popular. Feel it out and see if it is something you will wear long-term because real trends never go out of style.

TAILORED SUITS AND BLAZERS:

If you really know me, then you know I LOVE ANYTHING TAILORED. Nothing beats having a nice suit or blazer that fits your body perfectly. I believe everyone should own at least one-tailed suit and 2-3 nicely-tailed blazers. Now, tailored suits and blazers don’t mean “tight suits and blazers.” You want to find something that will complement your body type. I talk more about this in my wardrobe guide HERE. I like wearing slightly oversized suits and blazers because that complements my body the most. I also like my blazers to have shoulder pads in them because that complements my larger hip frame.

Here is a quick tip: If you find it difficult to find the perfect blazer/suit, invest in a tailor. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE needs a good tailor chile. You can also check out my post where I talk about how to find the perfect blazer for fall.

WIDE LEG PANTS

I love this trend because it looks good on curvy women and tall women. I have wide legs trousers in almost every color and love wearing wide-leg jeans. Zara has a lot of great wide-leg trousers. I love how they are fitted at the top and loose at the bottom. ASOS also has a lot of nice wide-leg jeans.

LOOSE FITTED SWEATER DRESSES

I’m loving the looser-fitted sweater dresses for the fall and winter, but I’m not just talking about any sweater dress. I’m talking about the dresses that are fitted at the top but looser at the bottom. What makes these dresses interesting is the fact that they are not super skin tight. Now, don’t get me wrong, your girl still loves figure-hugging dresses, but I also like loose dresses that give a more sophisticated and modest look.

Here is a quick tip: Get your dresses a size or two up to make them a little looser. Remember you have to make sure this fits your body type and shape well. If you find that this trend makes you look boxy, try adding a belt to cinch in your waist. This will give you shape without comprising the trend.

These are the Top 5 Wearable Fall 2021 Fashion Trends I can not wait to wear. Let me know which trend you plan to wear this fall season. I hope you have a blessed day.
