7 FASHION TRENDS I AM LOVING FOR SPRING

One of the things I love about the spring season is the amazing fashion trends. Now I’m not one to keep up with the Joneses (sometimes lol), but I can’t help but notice the styles that are quickly rising this season. So today, I am sharing 7 fashion trends I am currently loving for spring. The great thing about these trendy items is you may already have them in your wardrobe. This means you can save your money and learn how to repurpose your clothes. However, if you do not have these items or you struggle with building a wardrobe for your lifestyle, I have a FREE guide called “How To Build The Perfect Wardrobe” you can download. In this guide, I teach you all about how to build the perfect wardrobe, and I included a wardrobe checklist you can use while shopping this spring and summer.

Now, here are the 7 fashion trends I am loving for spring.

1. OVERSIZED BLAZERS

I’ve talked about the importance of having oversized blazers many times on my blog. I’m not surprised these are trending for the season because this is an item that will probably never go out of style. To make this trend more spring/summer appropriate, consider getting a bright colored blazer like this cobalt blue one I wore HERE. Also, a lot of the blazers tagged in the pictures above are almost sold out, so if you are interested in purchasing these blazers, do it quickly before they are gone.

2. MOM JEANS

Mom jeans are another trend that will never go out of style. In fact, I think this trend gets better and better as the years pass. I love mom jeans because they give you an effortless look without trying too hard. These are also great to wear with oversized blazers, flats, or heels. Not to mention, they are extremely versatile.

3. WHITE BOOTS

So everyone knows how much I love white sneakers right? Well, you can look at white boots as the mother of white sneakers. I love wearing white boots in the spring and summer because they instantly elevate your look in a very unique way. One way you can style white boots is with a good quality sweatshirt and jeans like I did HERE.

4. MONOCHROME/MATCHING SETS

Monochrome and matching sets were HUGE in the fall/winter, but I’m even more excited to wear them in the spring/summer. The great thing about monochromatic looks and sets is that they are very easy to put together. It takes away the guessing work while getting dressed. There is no need to think about what to pair your pants with because you already have a top that goes with them. They also add versatility to your wardrobe because you can wear them together one time and with a different item in your wardrobe another time.

5. FEDORA HATS

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I have a deep love for hats…specifically wide brim hats like fedoras. These styles of hats are my favorite because they instantly elevate your look. Oh, and did I mention they go with EVERYTHING… Jeans, skirts, dresses, and even sweats. I am personally really excited about wearing straw hats this summer. These hats take your vacay looks from cutey cute to chicly chic baby!

6. WIDE-LEGGED LONG STRAIGHT JEANS

I started getting more into the wide-legged straight jean trend last year. The funny thing about this trend is I use to wear it all the time in elementary and middle school. I think it’s crazy that things I use to wear 10 + years ago are now trending again. Anyways, I really like straight-leg jeans because they are very slick and classy. You can buy some with rips in them and some without them. Either way, I LOVE THEM!

7.CUT-OUTS/ SLITS

Now I know a lot of people will be surprised that I mentioned this trend since most people think of it as a more risky/provocative style, but I believe you can display certain parts of your body while still being classy. I personally love my shoulder and clavicle area, so I like to accentuate that part of my body when I can. I also love my back (random right?). It’s funny because I have a huge birthmark on my back that I use to be really insecure about when I was younger. Now I love it and enjoy showing it off when I can. I also love my legs, specifically my calf, and I think dresses and skirts with not too high slits, make them look even nicer. Furthermore, I LOVE bathing suits with interesting cutouts in them too! Oh, and did I mention the slit jeans/trousers trend that’s been circling around since last year? I love those too!

What trends are you looking forward to rocking this spring and summer? Also, don’t forget to check-out my FREE Wardrobe guide to learn more about how to build the perfect wardrobe for your lifestyle. Have a blessed day family!
