6 BINGE-WORTHY PODCAST EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD LISTEN TO RIGHT NOW

If you read my blog post “How to make more time to read” then you know I talked about being intentional about your time. Since quarantine started back in March, I’ve been trying to be more intentional about my time by adding meaningful hobbies/ activities into my weekly routine.

One meaningful activity I added to my routine is listening to podcast. I love listening to podcast because it gives me the opportunity to listen without looking. I can listen to a podcast while cooking, cleaning, running, driving, doing laundry, or even while in the shower.

Listening to podcast also have many benefits including learning new information, forming mental imagery, and like I said earlier, being able to do other activities without looking at what you are listening to.

Below I listed The “Top 6 binge-worthy podcast every Christian should listen to right now.” These 6 podcast are great for Christians who want vulnerability, business tips, relationship/ marriage advice, and who love Jesus Christ. I hope you enjoy!

Bridging Faith and Business” by Deyla Sabio

If I’m being honest, I’m not sure how I found out about Deyla and her podcast. I think I was looking up faith podcast late last year/early this year, and Deyla’s just “happened” to pop-up. I know this unintentional discovery wasn’t by mistake, because when I listened to her “Business without Faith is Dead” podcast, I knew God INTENTIONALLY lead me to her ministry.

What really drew me to Deyla’s podcast was her passion for Jesus and business. I can listen to anyone talk about how to build a business, but listening to a Christian talk about how to build wealth through kingdom principles, is encouraging (especially considering the fact that many Christians do not share how they obtain wealth). You can literally hear the zeal she has for this topic in her voice.

She gives personal testimonies (which y’all know I love), free tips, and advice on how to build your business with Christ at the center. She also teaches on leadership, branding, and purpose. Not to mention, her New-York accent and bubbly personality makes me feel like I’m listening to one of my long-time friends from down the street lol. I definitely recommend checking her podcast out.

Thirty Minutes with the Perry’s” by  Preston Perry and Jackie Hill Perry

If you have been following by blog and Instagram for awhile, then you know I love me some JACKIE HILL PERRY! I also love her husband’s ministry, and I think he is a great example to young Christian men.

Anyways, I was super excited when Jackie and her husband decided to start a podcast together. They talk about theology, politics, race, parenting, marriage, sexuality and many other things on their podcast. They also discuss topics that you may not hear in the church often. For example in their podcast, Pornography & Marriage,” they discuss how pornography affected their marriage. Sounds juicy right?

Preston and Jackie are also very relatable and I love how real and open they are with their audience. Not to mention, they are so funny, especially Jackie! I definitely recommend checking their podcast out!

Just U & Me” by Kelvin & Bianca Ume

So this next podcast is really dear to me because it was started by my childhood Friend Bianca and her husband Kelvin. Their podcast was created for young singles or couples who truly desire a love rooted in the faith-filled principles of Christ. What I love about this podcast is their VULNERABILITY. My favorite episode from their podcast thus far is “Healing From Sexual Assault: Dating A Survivor.” This episode was raw and emotional . I’m still inspired by both of their stories, and I know they will continue to inspire young singles and couples around the world. If you want rawness, vulnerability, and great mentor-ship centered around Christ, definitely check them out!

My favorite 2020 podcast

Blessed and Bossed Up” by Tatum Ayomike

If you couldn’t tell by now, I love listening to women who are about their faith and their business.

Tatum’s podcast is another great listen for those who want advice on how to start and grow a business using kingdom principles. Tatum’s podcast focuses on teaching entrepreneurs (or future entrepreneurs) how to grow in their personal endevours, in their relationship with God, and their entrepreneurial endevours.

You really have to prepare yourself before listening to her because she will come for your edges…all your edges. After listening to her, I always feel inspired, encouraged, and ready to “boss-up.” If you are ready to feel the same way, then check her out!

The Amanda Ferguson Show” by Amanda Ferguson

The Amanda Ferguson Show was one of the first podcast I ever listened to. Much like the other amazing podcast I mentioned above, what drew me to Amanda was her vulnerability. I love how she details her life story through her podcast, and I love her guest speakers.

My favorite episode from her podcast thus far is “Overcoming Insecurities and Identity Issues with Jo Naughton.” That show took me through an emotional roller-coaster. I cried so hard after watching it because I realized that I still had pain from my past that I never healed from. Not to mention, the prayer at the end by Jo Naughten was so powerful.

Amanda’s podcast will definitely cause you to think, repent, heal, forgive, and LOVE. Amanda wants her listeners to be restored. She wants you to be whole through Christ and find your identity in Christ. Ugh, I get emotional just thinking about it. Amanda also shares her journey to becoming an entrepreneur, wife, and mother. I definitely recommend listening to this podcast!

How Married are You” by Glen and Yvette Henry

Last but not least we have the “How Married are You” podcast. This podcast was started by Glen and his beautiful wife Yvette.

On their podcast they discuss a variety of topics centered around parenting and marriage. I can not pinpoint one episode I love the most, because they have so many episodes that speak to me. However, I will say that I love how open and real they are about their marriage. They do not only highlight/discuss the good side of marriage, but they also discuss the challenging aspects of marriage (which is very important for singles to hear). They even got into a full blown argument on one of their episodes, which I was surprised they shared with us, but I believe they did it to showcase the reality of marriage.

In addition to marriage, they discuss the highs and lows of being parents, a Christian, growing a business and many more.

I would say this is a great podcast for anyone who wants a laugh and wants to know the real truth about marriage and parenting. I also think this is a great podcast for men and women to listen to. Please check them out!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a blessed day family!
