WHAT I WORE ON VACATION (SUMMER 2021)

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I was on vacation with my girls last week. I knew you guys were going to ask about my vacation outfits, so I decided to create a “What I Wore on Vacation” lookbook post. Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel because my vacation haul video and vlog will be out soon. Also, next week I will have a post all about my vacation including where we went and why we decided to go there so be on the lookout for that. Now, before we get started with this lookbook, let me first explain the vibe/style I was going for on this vacation.

Because we were going to a very posh/boujee area in Florida, I knew I wanted to look extra but classy. I also know that I do not like to wear a lot of colors ( I’m trying to do better in this area) so naturally, I stuck to neutral colors that resonate with my style and personality. I also intentionally shopped my closet before purchasing anything for vacation. I actually bought some clothes last year that I did not get to wear because of “corona” and refused to let those outfits go to waste.

To show you guys how much of my clothes came from my closet, I put “old” next to everything I already owned before shopping for my trip. BTW, if you struggle with building a wardrobe full of essential items, check out my FREE wardrobe guide HERE.

DAY 1- BIRTHDAY DINNER

What I wore on vacation 2021

Day 1 was really chill for us. We arrived at our location around 2 p.m and had about 3 hours to spare before dinner. This day was actually my girl Nellie’s Birthday so we decided to have a luxurious birthday dinner to celebrate her. There was no particular dress code, but everyone knew that the assignment was to SLAY BABY!

What I am wearing: My top is a thick knit bandeau top I bought from ZARA’s Black Friday sale last year. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. My trousers are one of my favorite wardrobe essentials from Missguided (old), which is also no longer available. I love buying trousers from Missguided because they have a tall girl section which is perfect for women who struggle with finding pants that are long enough (here is a similar pair). My purse is a Bottega dupe from H&M, and to complete this outfit, I wore white heels (which you can not see here) and white and black sunglasses (old) from Shein.

DAY 2- BRUNCH & ALYS BEACH TOUR

On Day 2 I knew I wanted to get 2 outfits in, so I planned on wearing a dress for brunch and shorts for the Alys beach tour. I love this outfit because I feel like it’s something you can wear year-round. I will say though if you decide to wear a blazer on vacation make sure you wear it at night or in the morning so that you remain cool. Luckily, where we ate had great scenery and a nice breeze so I wasn’t hot at all.

What I am wearing: My slip dress is from SHEIN (old); My blazer is another item I got from Zara’s Black Friday sale last year. My shoes are (old) from Missguided. My hat is (old) from Target and my waist belt (old) is from SHEIN (here is a similar one).

After our brunch, I changed into this chill and casual outfit for our Alys beach tour. This was one of my favorite outfits because of the comfort it offered. I also love wearing white in the summer, and I feel like it makes brown skin pop!

What I am wearing: My sunglasses are my mom’s that I stole from her closet lol. My bodysuit is (old) from Zara. My oversized white shirt and Bermuda shorts are from H&M and my sandals are (old) from SHEIN (here is a similar one).

DAY 3- BEACH DAY

What I Wore on Vacation 2021

Day 3 was definitely my favorite day out of the whole trip (I will talk more about this in my vacation post). Day 3 was a beach day which means bathing suits and cover-ups were a must! I decided to wear a blue bathing suit (old) I purchased years ago from TJ Maxx (here is a cute one I love). My cover-up is also super old; I think I bought it 4 years ago and have only worn it once as an oversized sweater. I got it from Ross for like $4 on sale chile. My head wrap is from the beauty supply store and my sunglasses (old) are from Shein. The glow and confidence you see is all JESUS!

DAY 4- BEACH DINNER

Day 3 was definitely my favorite day but day four’s outfit was definitely my favorite look. Now, this outfit is something I would not typically go for, but because we were going to the beach and having dinner by the beach, I knew this outfit would be perfect for the occasion.

This beautiful set is from an online store called Jluxlabel. I love the chicness, sexiness, and effortlessness of this outfit. I also love how long the pants are, which is essential for us tall girls. Not to mention, because it is a 2 piece set, I can wear the linen pants with other tops, which means this outfit is extremely versatile.

Let me also not forget to talk about the quality of this piece. I know Jluxlabel has amazing quality pieces, but this linen set really set it off for me! I also wore a white button-up (similar to the one mentioned above) as a jacket during dinner to keep me warm. To top off this bomb look, I decided to pair it with this beautiful beach bag I purchased from Amazon. Quick story: I first saw this bag at an online boutique on Instagram and instantly fell in love. I wanted the bag so bad but was not willing to pay $40 dollars for it. I then did some digging (like I always do) and found this same bag on Amazon for $17 baby. Lastly, my sunglasses are a recent purchase from Ross.

Well, there you have it! This is what I wore on Vacation. Let me know which outfit is your favorite and which one you plan on purchasing below. I hope you have a blessed day!
